Our Approach

Digna Montanez, MSW, has many years of experience working with clients who are struggling with everyday life events and mental illness symptoms. She is focused on providing quality mental health care using a wide variety of client-focused therapy techniques.

These techniques allow for effective and compassionate counseling for individuals, children, couples, and families, in a warm, caring, supportive, and non-judgmental environment.


Therapeutic & Holistic Approach

Our priority is to assist clients to achieve their goals with empathy and compassion while maintaining a safe and supportive collaboration with them. We also believe in using a holistic approach to therapy, integrating the mind, body, and spirit of the individual.


The person-centered therapy uses a non-authoritative approach that allows clients to take more of a lead in discussions so that, in the process, they will discover their own solutions. The therapist acts as a compassionate facilitator, listening without judgment and acknowledging the client’s experience without moving the conversation in another direction. The therapist is there to encourage and support the client and to guide the therapeutic process without interrupting or interfering with the client’s process of self-discovery.


The solution-focused therapy approach recognizes that all clients have some knowledge of what would make their life better, even though they may need some help describing the details of their better life and that everyone who seeks help already possesses at least the minimal skills necessary to create solutions.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy  (CBT)

At Dreamline Counseling we utilize cognitive behavioral therapy strategies. This allows us to help clients change unhelpful thinking and behavior that can lead to enduring improvement in mood and functioning. It is a problem-solving and solution-focused approach.
